Vintage Christmas Ornaments

I'm having lots of fun today researching and listing vintage Christmas ornaments. Most of these are Eames era, mid century glass. They are really beautiful! A tip about identifying vintage glass Christmas ball ornaments -- look at the silver capper at the top of ornament and look for maker's mark or country of origin, i.e. Shiny Brite, Made in Poland, etc.

I love vintage christmas more than anything. It just adds to the nostalgic feeling of the season...Wish I had the budget to splurge on a few of those beauties.
Good Luck!

Thanks! I feel exactly the same way about vintage Christmas ornaments (vintage 1950's Christmas music too) -- it just adds to the nostalgic feeling of Christmas.

These are so lovely. I have been collecting the very same items for the Vintage fair in the uk this weekend. Boxes of celluloid reindeer, bottle brush trees and mercury glass ornaments.. Modern decorations just do not compare to these treasures from the 50's.

Agree completely! I sold a Christmas Putz House village a few months ago, with the little houses and bottle brush trees. (Photos in my blog.) Christmas decorations like that just are not made anymore! BTW I love the celluloid reindeer!
