Vintage Sewing Patterns

I think as a result of the economy, there has been a renewed interest in vintage sewing patterns. I do especially well with 1940's - 1960's patterns. I just got in three large boxes of patterns (120 - 150 patterns total) and am having lots of fun looking at the old designs and listing them.

Framed Vintage Valentines

Framed vintage Valentines make really cute gifts! I always mention this in my auctions, but thought I would post some Valentines I've framed as gifts. I bought the little clip frames at Michael's craft store, and the mat paper is scrapbook paper, also from Michael's. These turned out really cute. I especially like the vintage cat card, which was a gift for my Mom. Thought you might like to take a peek as well!

It's raining ... coffeetable books!

I pulled 40 coffeetable books that have been in my store for a while, and moved them to auctions for a 7 day pass (Sunday 2/8 - Sunday 2/15). This will be the last time I'll list them on eBay. I am working to make more room here at my house!

I HEART Anthropomorphic Valentines

"Anthropomorphic" is a magic word on eBay. It means giving human qualities to an inanimate object - i.e. a smiling peach Valentine or a crying salt and pepper set. Anthropomorphic decorative items were popular in the 1950's to early 1960's. They are great sellers! Here are a few of my anthropomorphic items on eBay:

Devil Valentine by Carrington, 1920's to 1930's Vintage

If you read this blog often, you know how much I love vintage ephemera - especially Valentines and Christmas cards. This is a real charmer, and it's very unusual ... I just had to share it with you.

It's a little Devil and a little girl in a masquerade costume. I would date it as 1920's to 1930's vintage, and it's by Carrington. It is a real charmer!
