Dear Abby - Animal Related Collection - Beth's Whale Collection

Dear Friends,

Welcome back to my blog!   I am happy to have a visit from my friend Beth today.  She has brought a really fun animal collection to share!   You may remember Beth from her previous visits to tell her cat Scotty's dramatic rescue story and to share the story of her beautiful bunny rabbits, Cadbury and Woodbury.

Abby:  Thank you for visiting, Beth!  I heard you have a wonderful whale collection.  How did you get interested in whales?

Beth:  I fell in love with whales the summer before I turned 15, when my parents took me to Hawaii for our vacation. Whales seemed so beautiful and majestic to me. I'm interested in every kind, but I think my favorite is the humpback whale.

Abby:  They are really beautiful!   What whale treasures did you bring to share?

Beth:  Here are the whales in my glass front cabinet.

I have some prints of whales (Prince of Wales ha!) up:

These are in our "beach bathroom."

Some of my mugs:

And some of my books:

I cross-stitched this.

Abby: Beth, thank you so much for visiting!  I love your whale collection.  Your cross-stitched picture is especially beautiful!

I also would love to share photos of Beth's pets.  Here is Sully, his cat, and Scotty:

Scotty (the princess)

Stubby

Woodbury

They are all so beautiful!  Beth, thank you again!  I really enjoyed your visit today.

Friends, if you would like to leave a message for Beth, you can do so in the comments below.  If you would like to share pictures of your animal related collection, please let me know (with your email).

Thank you so much for visiting!

Love,

Abby xoxoxo

Whoa! That's definitely a lot of whale-related things! My cousin has a similar liking for dolphins so she's got quite a bit of dolphin stuff in her collection!

That is a really nice collection of whale treasures. I have a pretty big collection of dolphins and Smurfs.

Whales are super cute, I recall going on a whale watch as a child it was so amazing. I love this collection of whales, anyone who can collect a lot on the same theme always amazes me, I get wicked squirrel brained so I can't seem to focus on collecting one of too many of the same themed items.

The whale collection reminds me of my unicorn collection I had as a teenager. Almost everything in my room was unicorn themed.

What a collection! Very neat. My favorite whale would probably be an Orca because my bernese mountain dog sometimes looks like one from far away and it makes me laugh :)

What a cool and unique collection! I know of people who collect action figures or vintage toys, but this is the first time I have known of someone collecting whale figurines! Nice!

Thanks, all! I really enjoyed your comments. It is neat to hear about what you collect too.

Beth, thank you again for visiting the blog!

That cross stitch image is absolutely gorgeous! I bet it took a lot of work. My mom used to cross stitch I know it took her ages to do some of the images. Thanks for sharing this wonderful whale collection.

Hi! Beautiful collection!
Do you know the brand of the plush whales that Beth has in the bathroom? I would like to find out!
Thanks!

I love Beth's whale collection too! I asked her about the plush whales, and here is the info:

"The blue whale is from "Furry Folk Puppets." On the back of the tag it says "Made in USA by Folkmanis, Inc". The other whale is from FAO Schwarz."

Hope this is helpful!
