Throwback Thursday: Can You Identify This?

Here's a fun question for you today:  can you identify the picture above?  Do you remember this?   As a clue, it could be found at a dimestore or a grocery.  I always liked it as a child.

Let me know in the comments below!

I totally don't remember what they are called and I have never had them, but I saw a show once that showed how they were made. It was most interesting!

I totally remember these! Were they called candy buttons? My mom would get them for us as a treat at the candy store if we were good while we went shopping with her.

I've never seen them before. Were the yellow ones flavored lemon, the pink ones strawberry, etc?

Candy buttons, what a great childhood memory. My mom worked but always was home when we got home from school, except on Fridays. On that day I got to go to the small market right next door to school and buy a dollar worth of penny candy, while I waited for my Grandmother to pick me up. I always got 50 cents of candy buttons and the rest whatever of other candies. I've gotten some of these a little while ago and they just didn't taste the same. I guess it's the old person taste buds.

Thanks, all, for visiting! We called this button candy when I was little. I haven't seen it in ages - I wonder if it is still around?!
