Vintage Play Food from the Early 1970's

What a cute retro toy set! I've had lots of fun photographing tiny vintage toy food today and looking up some of these retro products. Some are purely made up for the child's set ... although I have to wonder about the Honour Husband line of food seen here! But there are also real products like Freakies Cereal and Pepsi Cola. Neat! I'm a big kid at heart and love finding, researching, and listing vintage toys. Here's what I found in this set:

White Eagle Chocolate on Chocolate Cake Mix - 2 boxes - some little bends
Freakies Cereal box (2" high) - has creases, bends, and tear about 3/4" one side of box packaging -- back of box has a picture of mystery prizes and reads "I wonder which free Freakie Mystery Prize I'll get in this box!!!"
Willy Wonka's Grape Nerds - 2 boxes - both have little bends and are open at top
Kolleya's Bal-larn cereal box - has bends
Nabisco Mister Salty Pretzels - 2 boxes - with little bends

Vintage Halloween

I love Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays, in the middle of one of my favorite seasons. Nothing evokes Halloween for me quite like great vintage Halloween decorations.

I recently listed this huge lot of little vintage Halloween jack-o-lanterns. They are little nut cup sized plastic pumpkins. Some are rigid plastic and some are the more pliable (older) plastic. They are really, really cute.

Currently having a bidding war on these (yay!) and had to send a few photos.

Fun with Dick and Jane

One of my favorite things to find, research, and list -- Dick and Jane books. I have some beauties up this week. Have to also include a photo of a 1950 vintage Scott Foresman math game that I found. Two more boxes of vintage readers to list. Some of these photos were too great not to share, though!
