Victorian Scrap Art

One of my favorite recent finds! I am having great fun learning about Victorian scrap art. Some of these are trade cards, and some are not. The images are charming. I love the pictures of the children sleeping - or playing - inside the petals of flowers like little flower fairies. The robin red breast bird is also lovely!

Too sweet to resist! The Santa with a frame of toys is a 1914 Bergman postcard.

Christmas Putz House Village - Vintage and Fabulous!

This beautiful vintage Christmas Putz House village was great fun to photograph and research. I believe this is 1920's to 1930's vintage (angular church, Coconuts style snow on roofs, bottle brush trees, red cellophane/gold trim windows). I just had to share the photos with you - I think it is a beautiful set and perfect for a nostalgic, old-fashioned Christmas.

Vintage View-Master Reels

I'm having much fun this week playing with vintage toys -- a/k/a scanning and listing vintage View-Master reels on eBay. I lucked into a HUGE box of Viewmaster reels (and actual View-Master toys) to list. Today's goodies are all roadside Americana themed and early 1960's vintage:
