Dear Friends, I hope you are having a good week! I am doing fine, although it has been very rainy here, so my walks have been shorter than usual. The rainy weather gave me time to enjoy some dachshund videos online. I found a fun one! It features a bunch of dachshunds digging. They are digging so happy -- the dirt is flying! It looks like they may be planning to dig a tunnel that will connect somehow. They have certainly gotten a lot of digging done in their yard. There is some fun Keystone Cops type music playing as the dogs dig. You'll find the video here. It's from The Dodo channel on Youtube, which I like a lot! They have nothing but animal related videos. If you have a dog, does he or she like to dig? I walk on leash so don't get the opportunity. I don't really enjoy getting muddy so I am not sure I would be a big fan of digging in the mud. Dear Friends, Happy Friday to you! I hope you are having a good week. My week has been nice, but unexpectedly chilly. I think it jumped ahead to winter temperatures here. Brrr! As a result, I've had extra time to enjoy some dog videos on Youtube. I found one that I particularly like, and thought you might find it interesting too. This short video tells the story of Andy the dachshund. When Andy went down with his back, he needed emergency spinal surgery. The doctors were able to make a model of his spine with 3-D printing so they could have great success. You will love the scene of Andy walking and even running afterward! Dear Friends, I have a short little video to share with you today. It features a 17 week old dachshund puppy named Genji. He lives in Australia and was determined to climb a playground slide. I am impressed at how quickly he learned and how fast he scrabbled up that slide! I have never been to a playground so I am not sure what I would think about it. I certainly would not like the swings, and I don't think I would care to slide either. The sandbox might be fun though - that could involve digging! With no further ado, here is Genji on the slide! Now that is some real determination! He wanted to climb the slide and he did.

Dear Friends, I have a very sweet video to share with you today. My friend Debbie (a great dachshund person) sent this link to my Momma so I could watch it. The video is short, and it is by Parker, a talking dachshund. Parker actually types his words instead of speaking, but he is lots of fun. He visits in his backyard, talks about lizards, and appreciates the value of good snacks! I really liked this video with the bouncy music and the nice backyard that Parker enjoys. Hi friends, Just a super short note today to say "hi." My Uncle Dave sent me this super short video and I like it so much I've watched it several times. (My Momma says it is one of the cutest dachshund videos ever.) The little doxie does such a good job of sharing a balloon surprise. Of course, I had to share with you!

Dear Friends, I have a short and sweet share for you today.
I was surfing the Internet, as I sometimes do on a lazy afternoon, and I found a video of a dachshund playing pinball. Her name is Ellie and she gets very excited about the little silver, fast moving ball in the pinball machine. I am pretty sure she thinks she will capture that ball for her own! Ellie is a happy little dog with lots and lots of energy. (I think she may still be a puppy.) I showed this to my Momma and she liked it ... so I hope you do too. This video made me happy and I hope it makes you smile too.

Dear friends, I'm on the run this week, but wanted to stop by to share two fun little dachshund videos with you! This is a video of lots of dachshunds having fun in summer. My favorite things in this video are popsicles (I've never had one, but they look yummy!) and playing on the beach. My least favorite is swimming, which I am certain I would not enjoy since I don't like taking a B-A-T-H. (Yes, I know how to spell. Momma spells this word when she doesn't want me to run under the bed.) Disclaimer: There are a few dogs swimming in this video. Some dachshunds can be taught to swim but need to be very carefully supervised in water, as they are a breed that do not swim naturally, as some other dog breeds do.
This video features Crusoe (he is so handsome!) pretending to be a shark. It is pretty silly! I like it. If you have a dog (or doggie friends), what do they enjoy most about summer? I'd love to hear from you in the comments, below.

Dear Friends, I'm in the mood for some holiday fun, so went looking for some Christmas videos to share with you. Naturally, I like dog videos the most. I found a few that I think you will enjoy. The first video stars Crusoe the Dachshund (he is a celebrity in the dog world!). It's short and sweet, and he plays "The Little Drummer Boy." You can also see Crusoe opening a Christmas present in this video. He sure gets excited about that gift!
Go, Crusoe, go! In this video, Riley the dachshund opens his Christmas stocking. He is a handsome boy with a frosted face, and reminds me a little bit of my late brother Barney Fife. This little mini-movie even has pretty music.
Momma says this is her favorite of all. Mazie is a 14 year old dachshund who has limited vision. She finds all her gifts by smell (among all the other gifts under the tree!) and then opens them one by one. Wait for the end of the video. It is really sweet!
